Artist Statement
Upcoming RetreatIf my own stories and emotions could be shaped into liquid form, could they move someone else? That question led me here.
I was not trained as an artist. I was trained to think logically, to solve problems and make sensible choices. Then I moved to New York City. Got dumped. And suddenly nothing made sense anymore.
My analytical mind and intuitive side swapped seats. I began turning moments that sucked in my life into cocktails. In the process, I discovered how therapeutic it is to translate feelings into something tangible — something I can hold and taste.
This process evolved into my own medium, which I call Liquid Sculpture: a practice where sculptural cocktails and storytelling come together as a way to make sense of feeling.
Yes, I’ve overshared my life and horrified all the men I've dated. But isn't this what living in New York City is about? Finding your own voice amid the noise, and turning what once felt chaotic into something that finally makes sense.
Tonight, I invite you down memory lane.
And if you're ready - into the mess.
