Vessel 01 - Artemis
In a world that teaches us to choose ourselves and build strong boundaries, when does protection become isolation?
I know we’re wired for human connection. I still chose to enter a period of isolation simply to understand whether my connection to myself and the divine could ever be enough.
As someone who has always taken pride in being self-sufficient, the experiment was way too easy for me, and I enjoyed it way too much. But it also revealed how disconnected I had become from others, and what I had been avoiding by keeping my distance. I had been calling it protection.
Artemis 🍸 for the baddies who chose themselves a little too hard. Cheers

INSTRUCTIONS
Prep:
Mix gelatine with water and let it bloom for 5mins
Have white chocolate and boiling water ready for double boiler method
Mix 1 tsp matcha powder mix with 1 tbsp glycerine
Lay out all the food coloring and be ready to work fast!
Steps:
Bring the gelatin to a boil while heating the white chocolate at the same time.
Mix the gelatin into the white chocolate, then add the glycerine and matcha mixture
Add the remaining food coloring. Work quickly, you don’t want the mixture to set.
Spread the mixture onto a silicone baking mat, using a maximum of 2 layers.
Let it set for 5min
Cut into your preferred shape and dust with edible gold.
TIPS
Bring the gelatin + water to a boil to adjust the gelatin strength. This helps make the fabric less floppy and easier to mold.
If the fabric isn’t sticky enough to hold its shape, you can reheat the mixture to increase its stickiness.
When spreading the layers flat, use a maximum of 2 layers. If it’s too thick, it will be more challenging to mold
While made with edible ingredients, this formulation is developed primarily for exhibition purposes.
It is optimized for shaping and long-term display rather than flavor or eating quality
SCULPTING
The most challenging part is learning how to create the shape and drape you prefer. It really takes time to become familiar with the fabric, every pinch and hold matters. My piece had a total of 7–8 layers of fabric. Here’s an evolution of how it takes shape. Have fun creating!
